Tango Networks and GEMA International AG today announced a partnership to offer Tango Networks’ award-winning business mobile communications service with GEMA’s industry-leading Managed Mobility Service (MMS) available in 60 countries around the world.
Tango Networks provides Mobile-X, the industry’s first global mobile communications service that is built from the ground up for business users, not consumers.
GEMA is a leader in the MMS market, enabling companies to maximize the productivity of their distributed workforces by managing mobile devices and connectivity.
Together, the combined Tango Networks and GEMA service offerings will enable companies with remote workers, traveling employees, field operations, logistics, and other dispersed workforces to exercise unprecedented control over all aspects of their mobile communications, costs, assets, and security.
For the first time a multinational company can make a single purchasing decision on mobile services worldwide.
“As we adjust to a COVID-19 world, mobile is becoming the primary form of communication and critical to the efficient operation of today’s enterprises,” said Andrew Bale, General Manager of Tango Networks’ Cloud Services. “GEMA provides best-in-class mobile device and cost management which, combined with our business-controlled global mobile services, will put comprehensive control over mobility into the hands of enterprises for the first time.”
“In a world that is basing more and more of its critical business processes and communications on mobile devices, providing the best-in-breed technology and services for a truly enterprise-ready, fully integrated mobile environment is key. We chose to partner with Tango Networks because its business mobile service enables companies to boost productivity of remote workers and drive competitive advantage to excel in the COVID-19 and post COVID era,” said Heiko Friedrich, CEO of GEMA International.
The Tango Networks Mobile-X service gives businesses their own private mobile networks that extend a company's Unified Communications platform to any employee’s mobile device. Via next-generation Fixed-Mobile Convergence technology, the service turns any employee’s mobile device into an end-point extension of the UC platform, like a fully featured landline desk phone.
Featuring the most advanced implementation of fixed mobile convergence technologies, Mobile-X from Tango Networks supports many use cases for a distributed workforce, including Mobile Unified Communications, mobile workforce communications, and programs for remote working, work from home, telecommuting and business continuity.
GEMA offers full life cycle services for end-user devices globally, including in-country mobility staging, mobile device management services, support, repair, security/configuration management and monitoring, as well as providing granular control over mobile expenses. The result is a mobile fleet that ensures an enterprise’s distributed workforce has continuous access to the devices and applications to be productive from anywhere.
The combined offerings bring IT managers the ability to manage mobile assets as well as real-time mobile voice, messaging, and data communications. Now the enterprise can control mobile devices and applications as easily as it manages its landline communications infrastructure and applications.
